“A Winter Invitation”

This painting was inspired by the beautiful winters in New Mexico. The daylight moon with the pine trees is majestic! This painting began by preparing the canvas with a natural tone which reveals itself as it shines through in some areas of the painting. It was then followed with various base colors to highlight the light and dark areas. The final detail is very intricate with specific brush strokes and application techniques.
