“Desert Urchin”

Springtime brings forth the beautiful blooming foliage of the yucca plant. This plant looks lovely against the vast New Mexico desert skies. The yucca plant is one of my favorites to paint, and the rich variety makes for an intriguing subject.  You can see below a glimpse into my process for this painting.
